I would ask everyone to remember Martin and Amanda, two young parents from my church. This young couple needs your prayers during this time of grief.

Aydin Downs (just short of his second birthday) was called home to be with the Lord today. Aydin had battled Lukemia for most of his young life, today that battle ended.

You will notice that I did not say "he lost", here is why. I never heard little Aydin utter a single word, but he always was smiling and happy and that smile spoke volumes. Through him countless family members and others were led to the Lord.

That smile was a testimony in itself and will be the memory that I will hold of him. How trivial all of my problems become when I think of the constant smile that he carried through all of the treatments and operations.

The burden now falls to us not to forget Aydin's bravery and......his smile.

All of you who will, please join me in praying for these young parents, their family, and all of us who have the difficult task of moving forward without Aydin.

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Always hard to see the little ones called so soon..  But I am sure he blessed many lives while he was here..
Prayers are headed their way

God bless Aydin and his family - such a hard trial to deal with.  Please pass along my family's condolences to them - and a smile

Those smiles are angelic and give you a true sense of what is important in life. My daughter can't speak a word either but inspires everyone around with her smile. Cherish that smile in your heart and mind as a reminder of Aydin's purpose and legacy.

Please pass on my sincere condolences to Aydin's family.

Just came home from the viewing, it was a sad time. The next couple of days will be hard for them. I really appreciate all of your responses, it helps greatly.  In another week or so, I will print this thread for them, I know it will mean alot to them.

God Bless you all
