I am offered a 2003 Avalanche. The seller states it is has as exterior color: Light Beechwood Metallic.

Maybe I'm stupid, but I can't find any pictures of that color.
Who can help me out?

Sounds like another name for Pewter. (LPM)

I got this info from the official Dealer print out. You know, the list you get when you ask the dealer to check what the options are of a car with a specified VIN.

CODE: 62U EXTERIOR COLOR,PRIMARY,LIGHT BEECHWOOD METALLIC.

But.. still waiting for a clue on the color. As the car itself is still on the high seas between USA and Europe a picture will help me out.

Have them send you the paint code......

They should have it....then we can confirm the color....
 
The 03's had Light Pewter Metallic...and the 04's have Silver Birch Metallic...never heard of the Light Beechwood Metallic ???
 
Tinman's new ride (assuming he has the Silver Birch) can not be the same color as the '03 that shthpnz is being offered, because that color wasn't available on the '03's. If it indeed an '03 in that container on it's way over, and assuming its "gray" in color, it is either 1) Light Pewter Metallic or 2) Dark Gray Metallic.

Either something is wrong with the description of the model year being offered, the decription of the color being offered, or maybe even both.

Most confusing.

Interim Colors produced late '03, "Special Paint". Very few produced.
63U Sport Red Metallic
25U Dark Blue Metallic
59U Silver Birch Metallic

FYI: 20% of American men are color blind as opposed to 10% of American Women. I think Cliff Claven on "Cheer's" said this. If not, sounds like something he would have said. LOL
 
In '02 wasn't there also an Indigo Blue? And a Sage Green?

Not many of those around either.
 
I thought it might that new Tahoe color but checked.....it's Sandalwood. ???
 
Good eye Kodio. Indigo Blue was an interim color until Arrival Blue was introduced. Sage only available on the North Face Edition.

I prefer "Introductory" color for Indigo Blue. >:D Actually, I thought the Arrival Blue was an interim color because it was replaced by Dark Blue Metallic. Is Arrival Blue back for 2005?

It's true (at least around here) you don't see many Puke Green, I mean Sage Green >:D Avys. I've only seen 1. And I keep both eyes peeled for any color, much to the chagrin of the wifey.

The new blue is a turqoise color called Bermuda Blue
 
Light Beechwood Metalic is a Silverado color. I have seen several trucks on the lot like this. I don?t see it listed as an Avalanche color and I have never seen one. Must be a special case. New color for 2005 is sandstone metallic.
 
DGM rules >:D(shameless plug for the DGM Nation). If it is 62U. You wont be dissapointed anyways, it seems to change colors with the seasons. Just ask any DGM owners about it's camilion effect.
In any case or color in this point...you wont be dissapointed with the AV.
 
i have an 02 and when i went to get the touch-up paint they sold me 74u
i just looked at the glove box sticker and it says 74u. the touch up bottle says wildfire red. reading this thread got me curious so i dug out window sticker and it says victory red. so do i go buy the glove box code which would seem to be logical or the sticker?
