I really hate to say something Ford has available seems like a good idea, but the Side step that lowers when the Door opens on one of their SUV's is pretty sharp. I saw a single step bolt on in J.C. Whitney Catalog I could install on the AV on each door they rotate down when the door is open. If they had a cab length one available I probably would have purchased them. How about it AV fan club members. Is there anyone else out there that doesn't like the look of the nerf bars and thinks the assist steps stickout a little to far. Maybe Chevy could make this available as an accessory that bolts on to the frame like the nerf Bars. You open a door and a cab length hidden assist step rotates down to help your wife and kids get in. Maybe a remote control button on your key fob could engage it. Just a thought if anyone with Chevy is listening.
 
Another option I'm jealous of is in my sisters new Explorer Limited Eddie Bauer. It's got the telescoping wheel (nice for the big long arm guys like myself) and telescoping pedals (Very nice for my size 15 feet).

I've driven a couple EXT's and didn't notice them.

I hope that Chevy will come up with similar options soon.
 
2003 Avalanches have power adjustable pedals as an option, but no telescoping steering wheel. Being 6'1" and sitting with the seat all the way back, yes a telescoping steering wheel would be nice...
 
yes, that would be nice. Considering I'm small. Tiny. Eensy Bitsy. steps and wheel would be nice. Gotta have adjustable pedals when I grow up too.

Well you are only a kid right now Avrunner. Wait till you are a little older, and you wont be that small.

I gained about 80lbs & grew 8 inches through high school.
Also grew 5 shoes sizes - to 15's... :rolleyes:
 
Jealous guy number 2 here....the wife Passat gets the telescoping wheel....I would like this feature for myself...now I have to bribe her every now and again for the keys to the VW.... :B:
 
My greatest fear when I was about 10 was that I wouldn't be able to reach the pedals when I was old enough to drive. :cautious:
