Power Loss

I have a Avalanche 1500 - 1st in the Cleveland area. The truck would have a sudden power loss on accelleration - a very dangerous situation. Took it to the dealer and the codes came back as a transmission problem. Chevy notified the dealer the problem was in a switch in the steering column. The short in the switch screwed up the computer and caused the transmission to get stuck in second gear. After the repair the problem hasn't returned. Thought anyone with the problem would be interested.

I had te same thing happen to me one time about a month after I bought my Av. Thankfully it jas never done it since then(keeping my fingers crossed)
