This is the first time my AV and I have been apart overnight. :C: She's out taking car of my girlfriend. Hope my girlfriend will take good care of her. In the meantime, I get to take care of her Dodge, :D:, it's sick and needs a good mechanic, not that I'm a good mechanic, but hopefully I can find one quick and get my AV back where she belongs. Being a good guy does have it's disadvantages. But, I'm sure if all goes well with the repairs, my girlfriend will help comfort any post-anxiety syndrome that I might develop ;).

tundrabob - I recall the 1st time my GF took the AV and I was sitting at home - hope it comes back OK

Shoot, I get separation anxiety everytime I ride in my GF's car. It's a nice car and all, but why is it everything I ride with her I see all these fixed up trucks? :C:

Yeah, reminds me of several years ago we went to a kite festival. My girlfriend borrowed my new car, complete with my dog in the back seat. Then she got lost.

So, for about an hour, I was literaly left standing in a field, lost my girl, my car, and my dog.

My heartfelt sympathy to you and your Av during this time of separation . . .

A man and his Av should not be so easily parted! It is for this reason that everyone needs a beater of some sort!

I have had to some to terms with the separation on a daily basis :( Since our other car is a Trans Am my wife gets to use the AV for taking the kids to school. The only time I get to drive it is on the weekends :)

It was tough getting used to it especially because it is fairly new, in time I have learned to focus my sadness on other things like work. :C:

>:DI bout have her broken, i have a mental checklist i go down each time i give her the keys to go to home depot to get plants/mulch etc. watch the drip rails, Make sure the bags are not busted. watch them load and don't let them throw it in.. and so on.. She has about gotten to the point she just ask me to take her to the mighty home depot
Will fevershly keep working on it.......... >:D

Tundrabob, I feel for you. What are the chances that after you get her Dodge repaired she will be interested in giving up the AV, especially since she is getting this extended "test" drive? You might be fixing the Dodge for yourself and not realize it. She certainly wouldn't take advantage of a "good guy." Just kidding. I understand your anxiety completely. When my GF wants to use my AV, I say sure, but I feel guilty for wanting to say no.

My girlfriend don't drive my AV! Nobody else does!!! >:D (Although I am not quite as anal as I was with my Impala SS!) ;D

When I got my very first vehicle I rarely let anyone drive it. It was old and had many miles on her.

When I let someone drive her she always came back running and acting bad like she was paying me back.

This was especially true when Girlfriend 10.0 (later Wife 1.0) drove it. After the last time no more loaning.

Wife 2.0 hasn't had a check ride in the new AV.

You an me both. My GF gets PO'd everytime we go somewhere because she never gets a chance to use her convertible. She has a VW Cabrio Convertible.

Listen to this one. When we get all dressed up to go out she insists that we take her Tuna Fish Can on wheels. She says that getting in and out of the Ave is too hard and she is afraid that she is going to wrincle her dress. Go Figure ???????? ???

Not a bad tuna can for a GF's car though! >:D

I know exactly how you feel.

I am having pre separation anxiety today. Tomorrow, the Av with 1049 miles goes in for an oil change, and to install running boards. Should I remain at the dealership and keep the Av in sight?
