Predator and TM?

I have been considering buying a predator but have been unable to find out from searching what it actually does to the TM. Some posts say it does nothing and others say it reduces it. What can I expect from the predator in reducing TM?

Thanks,

How much TM does the predator remove? I saw on Nelson Performance page that they take about 60% of it out.

i sent Predator an email asking them if their product would eliminate TM. i gave them your email for a response. hope that was okay. i figured that would be best since i do not always check mine. hope they tell you what you need to know.

A few months back, 11h and Johan @ diablosport came up with a tune that pretty much did away with tm (except where it was beneficial) and fixed up many of the deficiencies in the shifting characteristics. I had this tune on my truck and it shifted fast and HARD!! I had to have my tune redone and lost some of the firmness. Just email Johan and mention the special Avy tune and he should know what you are looking for!! Allen Nelson is even better at getting rid of tm, but you would need to have access to LS1 edit for one of his tunes.

no reply from Diablo yet? hmmmm. not very fast answering customers questions. i know it's only been one day.

I just checked my e-mail and this is the response that they sent this morning.

"Yes it does eliminate torque management

Thank you for your interest in DiabloSport!
Stay tuned,

Not very indepth but they did respond.

your right. very brief. but, it backs up what Kodiakz said.

I currently have a predator on an 02 5.3 Silverado, with a custom tune from runninwiththedevil.com. I asked to have as much TM removed as possible and he said that 95% of it was removed. But how can you come up with a percentage of something like this, that is applicable at different sections of the power band? I believe that diablosport gave you a bad reply in saying that "yes it does remove TM". From what I have read only a tuned pcm from a place such as westers garage can totally remove TM.

As for my truck, if there really is only 5% TM remaining, then it must be the 5% that wont let the tires slip from a dead stop. It is slightly more aggressive upon a WOT takeoff, but pushing around 300hp should be able to totally roast the tires on a truck, especially not having much weight in the rearend. The predator even with a custom tune, from my experience, does not release the tire roasting potential that is available.
