Problem With My Accessory Power Plugs!

I was on my way back from a long trip, and my two accessory power sockets stopped working! My cigarette lighter still works though. I checked the fuses on the side of the console, but I couldn't find any that were blown. Are there some breakers or something that I haven't found yet for them? Any ideas??

Thanks!

Wiki is correct. I had the same problem and finally found a blown fuse in the "under the hood" fuse box. Replacing the fuse solved the problem and it has not happened again.

And just to be complete, the lighter is on one fuse, and the two accessory outlets are on a different one. So it would be perfectly normal for the accessory outlets to be out and the lighter still works. Even though all three are right next to each other, there are two fuses.

First time I used accessory plug my air pump I use for airbeds, kayak etc. fried, I used it no problem on my last AV and S10 so I tossed it figuring it was defective. My new AV was driven 7,000 miles by a GM exec. first and I just found an unused AC inverter battery cable and manual in my truck. I haven't had any electrical problems but now it's got me thinking I better check my accessory outputs since the only device I plugged into one fried. I'm thinking they used the inverter off the accessory and screwed it up, maybe the dip even changed the fuse ? :8:

If you have a console, there's one in the flip-down in back.

The one on the right of the print is not in Av's. That print covers several models.

Isn't this group the greatest? I had the same problem this weekend, my cell phone adapter quit working, I thought it was the adapter, then went to plug something else in and it didn't work either. I was going to post a message and Look what I found. In the 02 owners manual, it shows the Aux Pwr fuse as being the one for the Pwr outlets and the cigarette lighter, where is the other one you speak of? Chevalanche, I have two additonal outlets next to my cigarette lighter.

02 model had two aux ports and a cig lighter up front.
03 model had one aux and a cig lighter upfront. The third if you have a center console is above the drop down cup holders in back of the console.

This one appears to have died on mine, I have checked through the manual for the fuse to check/change. I still can't find it...

My others are working, is the the rear power point separate from the front ones?

Please advise... I am going back outside to look again... maybe the AUX POWER under the hood? Let me check that again... :E: :E:

I've just joined, and have this ? re the accessory plugs.  I'm trying to use a DC adaptor 12V-5V for my MP3 player (which I 'd used successfully for several years in my '99 Suburban).  However, whenever I connect the player, the fuse blows.  The adaptor still works fine in my wife's car. I've tried it in all three outlets (2 in front) one in rear console.  The owner's manual mentions this might be a problem, but my local Chevy guys don't have any insights.  Anybody run into this, and hopefully have a solution?  BTW I've just bought an '04 AV Z71 and can't agree more with all the good things said on this site.  Guess I've got to get amber DRL's now.

Maybe something wrong with ADAPTER...in that it shorts out when inserted....like if the metal for the positve touches the outside grounding metal...

maybe try a 12v power extension??

I've thought there might be a problem with the configuration of the socket, since the adapter works fine in other vehicles.  The extension idea, might be worth a shot since it might have a more traditional configuration.  Thanks for your response.
