probox rocks new sub box

I have the 5 Banger

and am looking at getting an under the seat model or JL midgate.....
The ProBox Rocks looks good though :love:
 
this is the email i got back from PROBOX.

"Call us....800-919-3313, this is our new midgate replacement....wait till ya hear this...it kicks JL's (2) 12" sealed enclosures ass........I'm talking kicks it badly!!!!!!? ? ? ?Ask for Tracy, Thanks"




i called and its only a 500 watt 10" sub, so i am not convinced its louder than two 12's??

What do you do when the speaker fails.  Does it have a good warranty or no ???

Tell them to send you one for demo, and if you like it and it's as good as they claim, several site members may purchase  them after your favorable review.  >:D

:laugh:? i agree there.? i figured it would be to hard to get that replaced.? ?the dude on the phone said it would cost me $999.00.? ?but he lost me when he told me it was one single 10"? i was thinking about getting this box from woodlawncabinetry.com? but haven't heard from them

That box looks like it belongs in jeep while running a Baja race. The Avalanche is to smooth of a vehicle. Have you looked at http://www.subthump.com/ boxes?

I don't see how that one mounts.? Does it just teeter on the seat bracket behind the seat?? I just don't see what holds it in place so it isn't sliding around and falling forward.? Another thing is that? you have to buy four of those pancacke subs in order to fit.? With shipping, you'd have over $300 worth of subs in that box, then buy the box.? I've seen a couple guys on different forums trying to get rid of their 4-bangers.? ?The subthump midgate with a nice pair of 12s looks like it would hit pretty hard.
 
i haven't seen any 4 bangers that hold 10's though.  I emailed the company with no reply yet.  I don't  know how it is held into place, i figured since it was so tight of a spot anyway, the seats would do the trick.  my concern is what the mounting dept is and my sub limitations.  i think i will just wait and find a used JL MIDGATE if anyone ever lets them go.  i need 12's

Yeah, i have only seen one site with a four ten setup. they either offer ported or sealed i think. it looks like the prices they have arnt all that bad. i saw a box another member has and it looked pretty good.  www.kingkongcustoms.com

Just call Phil, I have the 5 banger and it amazes everyone that has heard it. After seeing the new box I may upgrade to it. it just sits between the midgate and the rear seat.
