I have an idea for a mod that may be interesting. I have a friend who owns a Chevy Trailblazer. I noticed when we were both loading some equipment into our respective vehicles the other night, that on the Trailblazer, both the DRLs and the backup lights come on and remain on with the side entry marker lights. This is a great mod for the avalanche as it puts light all the way around the vehicle. This helps in security and for loading/unloading cargo/people. The rear really needs some light after dark and the front DRLs would be great for finding the thing. If this is not practical, perhaps it could be tied to the cargo lights to at least light up the bed for loading cargo. This way, you wouldn't need to open the av and turn on the lights manually or add the pin switch.
To add a degree of difficulty seeing as most of you are experienced mod'ers and I'm only starting. (My first is going to be the cluster), I think that the mod could be done using standard GM style connectors so that in the odd case that MR GM warranty man gets nasty, it could be easily removed. That's just a suggestion, please let me know what you think of my idea.
