I have a set of Weld Wheels that I was thinking about having chromed. Has anyone done this? Is it possible to have Billet chromed and not compromise the intergrity of the wheel? Thanks for feedback. :B:

Why not just have them polished? I have seen highly polished alum wheels and they look great! You never have top worry about the chrome coming off!

Have you ever polished billet aluminum? It's a lot more labor intensive, you practically need to do a full polish every time you wash the vehicle.

Chrome will last fine, just as good if you stay on top of it and don't let the brake dust accumulate.

Keep in mind that to have an good chrome job done, the wheels will need to be polished before chroming. I have done nothing other than wash my polished billet Centerlines and they still shine very nicely. When I do my spring clean-up I'll take some metal polish to them and give them a coat of wax and then happily forget about them for another year.
