I am interested in attaching ''RAILS" for lack of a better word to the top lids on the top side of the cargo area ( both sides) I think 20'' would be ok

some people have added supports for bike racks is this what you mean?

Also someone is designing brackets to hold crossbars...check some of the threads in this section...
