Anybody running a rancho lift with more than 4.5" backspacing?  I have 17" wheels with 4.75" backspacing and would like to keep them if at all possible.

I have the RCD kit and it requires 4.5 inches of wheel backspacing, but it can fit 5.0 inches of backspace with the stock height tires.  I have a feeling that yours might work with the stock height tires and 4.75 inches of backspace.

Even though my wheels are on back order I test fit a 18 in rim  with 5inch BS an 33 x 12.5  it worked fine I too have the rancho lift. Wheel pros said it would become an issue with 5 1/4

Thanks guys.  If width of tires matter I am running a fairly narrow tire...I have 315/70-17 bfg ATs.

If they will work I will be replacing my superlift bracket lift with the rancho lift.

I dont have the Rancho lift I have the tough country lift and I had to have more than 4.5 back space rim but I didnt I had exactly 4.5 so I just added a half inch spacer.

Keep in mind it is the old style superlift bracket kit...it is not the fit kit.  The FIT kit is a good kit.

The bracket lift is just that...lots of brackets.  Brackets that connect brackets to other brackets.  Lots of things to come loose...and they do come loose!  The dual shocks are hard on upper ball joints.  The steering drop bracket is very heavy and hard on the pittman arm and idler arms.  The steering gets the shakes pretty bad and the list goes on.

Get a good knuckle kit!

What are you going to be doing with the superlift kit? If the price is right I just might take it off your hands for you

I am keeping the rear kit in and only installing the front kit from a k1500 pickup (cheaper than a whole avalanche lift).  I would be interested in selling the front kit.  There is a rear kit on ebay for cheap right now.  I thought about keeping the front dual cardan driveshaft but not sure if it will be too long.  Where are you located?

I am located in Fort Worth, Texas. I don't need the driveshaft as I am only two wheel drive. The suspension is the same for the 2wd as the 4wd-minus the front drivetrain. I had a Fabtech knuckle kit and I HATED the way it increased my front track width. So now I am going to use the bracket style kit that doesn't increase my front width.

I worked in Arlington at the GM SUV plant for 6 months...Dalas and FW fun cities...Arlington=hood.  Anyway I just won the Rancho kit on ebay so I should have it installed in the next two weeks.  I will keep you posted on my progress!

Do you have any pictures of the truck with the lift kit installed? Just email me whenever you get the kit off and well go from there.

Do you still have the Fabtech knuckles?

Sorry no, I sold the truck with the kit on it.  Nice truck by the way. How heavy is that front bumper and are those 35's? Sorry about all the ?'s
