I noticed today that both my rear doors squeak it sounds like metal rubbing against metal have any of you guys had anything like that?

Yeah that might be it because I justwashed it a few days ago and then it is been getting cold so that might be it thanks for your help

mine started doing that last week. sounds more like a rubber squeak to me. (rear driver side)

it was mine metal hings I bought some GM lubracant stuff and put on them and it quick (y)

i have a squeak coming from my rear driver side door, it is the rubber molding on the top edge of the door rubbing on the door sheetmetal. have not bothered to fix it.

I just noticed that I have that also but that was not the same squeak I was talking about mine was the acual hings on the door when you buy the AV new it all ready has stuff on it but all my off-roading has warn it off so I just bought some of the stuff from GM and spayed it on and the problem was fixed (y)

My weather stripping is slightly (but visibly) bubbled on both sides where the front door/rear door/roof line meets and opening either rear door produces a squeak. The dealer has ordered a new set of strips which should be in next week. They suggested some lubricant would fix it but I insisted that a new piece be put on. If I wanted some grease smeared on it I could do that myself. Under warranty I want it fixed right.

My left rear door has made a metallic-sounding scraping noise since delivery. I made a note of it when it went in for the first service, and the "technician" dumped a gross amount of white lube on both hinges. All this succeeded in doing was ticking me off - the noise was still there. I snooped around a little and discovered that it was the "door check mechanism", the metal strap-like affair that holds tension on the door when it's opened part way, and also limits the travel so the door doesn't overextend on opening. I sprayed a small amount of silicone spray on it and the noise is gone.........so far it hasn't affected it's operation.
Maybe this will help someone else.

Jake

There is a warrenty repair to replace the metal links with nylon. ?My doors glide so smooth now.
