I am itching for a pair of those wheel spacers for my rear wheels, but I am looking for people that have had experience with them, where they got them, how much they are, and what brand they are.

Thanks

these have tons of info

I got the spacers from TByrne and they are excellent. Easy to fit, improves the look of the rear end and makes the handling a bit more neutral. They are a bit expensive, but worth the cost IMO.

I have done about 30,000 miles since fitting them with no problems.

Good topic for me, i just had to remove mine this weekend. I had bought a set of aluminum ones on ebay. THey lasted about 5 months until Sat this weekend i noticed that the center cap had 4 of the lug covers loose. I removed the center cap off the wheels and saw that 4 of the studs had snaped clear off all on one side. Word to the wise: dont go the cheap way, get the steel ones at www.correctack.com

My CT wheel spacers fit properly after shaving about 1/8" off the top of each lug post with a metal grinder. I purchased them direct from CT (the same link you found). From what I recall, I had to wait about 4 weeks for them to show up, but it's well worth the wait. This is one of those mods for 2500's that should come this way from the factory, IMHO. Best of luck to you.

I havent purchased the CT's yet but that is going to happen this week. I tell you it scared the $%IT out of me when i saw that i only had 4 lugs on one side holding my 1 ton truck on the ground.

Get the CT's they are the best, cost 350+SH. But Steel is the only way to go when it comes to loads of that amount.

why did you have to shave 1/8 off? do you mean 1/8th off the lug post on the spacer? or the hub?

The stock lug posts were 1/8" longer than the new spacers -- the rim would not make full contact with the spacer and would actually rest on the tips of the stock lug posts. After taking about 1/8" off, the rim could rest solid on the spacer. The instructions that came with the CT spacers mentioned this step may be necessary on some vehicles with this condition.

Oh yeah, one other thing I recall from the instructions is to check the torque on all the bolts after 50 miles.

I hope this helps -- let me know if you have any other questions, or need any photos.

The spacers I got from Tbyrne are aluminium nad have been absoltuely fine. No grinding of lugs to fit.

I did, however, have a lug snap when the tyres were being changed for the first time, but this was before the spacers were fitted. Maybe there is a tendency for the studs to cross-thread and seize? or Maybe there is a bad batch of studs out there?

I would get rid of the aluminum ones, like i said, i lost 4 lugs on one side. If one more had gone, the wheel would have came off!!! very bad

anybody tried the spacers from wheeladapters.com (fred Goeske) he has a good price $140 each and made from 6061-t6 stock for 2" spacers new to this site thanks for your comments eddy
