My dealer just called me to tell me the good news. ?I ordered a yellow AV several weeks ago and was told it would qualify for a $2000 rebate. ?Today he said GM upped the rebate to $4000, plus $500 for an Auto Show Special. ?Imagine, $4,500 rebate!! ?That's almost unheard of for a Chevy. ?Now trading my '02 white AV for the '03 yellow ?;DAV won't be nearly as expensive ?;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

man I work for a GM Dealership and I need to check into this.. maybe it's time to trade... >:D

all that work put into it...maybe a yellow AV as well or at least the Arrival Blue.

so the rebate and my GMS price...sweeeeeeeeeet

can this be confirmed? I was ganna pick up my av on the 9th but i will wait if this is true

The GM website still says it is a $2500 rebate.

Ya but the GM website doesn't get updated when they make the changes right away...I'm checking some sources...

they wouldnt change the site until the day the rebate took place, this sounds to good to be true anyway. But i guess you never know

There was an earlier post that mentioned Ava sales are down almost 50% so it does not seem out of line that GM is dropping some big bucks to move them.

As for the auto show rebate/bonus, that might be a regional thing. ?There was a $500 Los Angeles auto show bonus but it expired last month (a couple of weeks after the show).

Even if it is only $4000, that has got to set an all time record for rebates. ?During the last weeks of December, it hit $3000 and I thought that was good.

If anyone has a GM card, I would wait a week or so and see what other goodies they are piling up on that one. ?In December, it was a $500 coupon. ?January was the $2003 bump up. ?Feburary is anyone's guess. ?

And don't forget the $750 GMAC owner loyalty bonus for existing GM finance customer (code LLC... just ask for it)

I really cannot believe this... the longer I hold out taking delivery, the cheaper this truck gets.

I just spoke to the GM for a nearby chevy dealer here in Colorado. He seemed to kind of dodge the question. from what i gathered it seems like there is a new cash back program coming out he just could't provide the exact numbers

Actually, no. Back in 1989 I ALMOST bought a Merkur xR4Ti that had a $4,500 rebate on it. However the dealer wouldn't deal so I walked (basically the old we're giving the rebate not the factory BS speech...)

I'm going to have to be careful here less I enter into the realm of politics. However I don't think Saddam is the one to blame. Overall truck sales were down, for example Tahoe sales were down 31% for the same period. Personally I think that consumer confidence has erroded to a critical level, people are broke after the holidays and there are big concerns on the economy and $3 a gallon gasoline. I know that in the Seattle area gas has gone up about 30 cents a gallon in the matter of a couple of weeks.

OUCH! However it is nowhere near the almost $2 a gallon we say back during the questionable energy crisis of the summer of 2000.

I'll leave it at that...

I was called this morning too, and the salesman told me outright that the rebate was going to be $4,000. I told him I would be in to buy on on Saturday. I mean, $100 over invoice, plus $4,000 rebate!?! I cannot lose. I just have to convince the wife that now is the time!!!

Let's see... Invoice is about $4000 below MSRP...
add $4000 rebate on top of that.

That is a total of $8000 below MSRP. ? I got one on order and it should arrive any day now :D ?but I am going to drag it out for a few more days to see what other rebate drops down. ?I am almost willing to bet that the GM card is going to kick in a few more bucks. ?

I think the rebates should be good till the end of February so we got a few more days to play the rebate game.

Thyis is GREAT.

42,000 dollar vehicle..gm supplier discount is about down to 37,500 then subtract the 4,000. holy canoli that a savings of

8,500.

So what does that mean.. MORE MODDDDDSSS

As of yesturday, the 4000 rebate is in affect until 2/28. ;D

If this is true I WILL have a Dark Gray WBH by 2/28! ;D

I just found out the rebate man it is hard not to get a new one I looked at trading my AV in but the dealership only will give me $23,000 so I need to get my dad to take over the payments on my AV now(he can have that one) and I can order a new Yellow one hummm all the possabiltys btw I could get a new Yellow one for $500 over invoice no trade

If you order one now, do you think you will have it by Feb 28th? I had to stop my order in midstream yesterday because I don't have any way to know if the new rebate will extend into the next month. and I couldn't bet $4000 that it would. Darn, I really wanted a yellow one built my way! The dealer I dealt with wouldn't use the vin number issue as a sales date. Anyone have any ideas? :6: :6: :6:

Holy crap! Our 2002 Z66 is still going flawlessly (though the stupid snow/slush got it nice and filthy today...), but these latest deals are almost too bad to pass up. I started talking to my mother last week about the $2300 GM card bump-up (she didn't get it), the latest rebates, and some of the deals to be had. Also telling her that imaniguana just got a new 2003 made her more interested, since he's been at both of our DE meets.

Tomorrow we're going to the Baltimore Auto Show for the day, and I can't wait to check out everything on the new '03 Av's. Last year they had 3 or 4 '02s (probably because they hadn't been out all that long yet), and we looked at & sat in just about every one. Bought ours a month later.

She loves her black Z66, but really wants running boards and misses the steering wheel audio controls that were in the Buick LeSabre rental we had a year ago, not to mention the front bench seat which she wanted all along. Ours is terrific, and we like it even more because of the neutral cloth interior (most Av's have charcoal), the fact that it has the adjustable lumbar (no more w/ cloth), and the look in black. However, the new ones have the radio controls, can be had with the bench and boards, and come in that beautiful color that everyone wants, Dark Gray.

She'll be home soon for lunch, and I'll tell her about the latest either then or tonight. Then the auto show tomorrow. I'd hate to give up a perfect vehicle that's so new, but if the price is right on a new one, maybe it's time to trade. We'll see (y)!
