I just spent the past week in Moab and thought I'd post some pics and a few words about the place. ?First, the few words.

Wow.
Holy crap.

For the pictures, hit the link at the bottom. ?Those of you who have seen Moab, you already know this. ?For the rest of you, whatever you see in the pictures is 20 times bigger, taller, and further away than you think. ?I am most certainly not kidding. ?This is one of those times that it's impossible to capture the sheer scale of the scene in pixel form. ?That said, here are the pictures.

Fish,

I was there with 3 buddies for a week of serious mountain biking last month during the Canyonlands Fat Tire Festival. I share your sentiments as to the breathtaking scenery.

We biked every morning for 4 or 5 hours and hiked in the afternoon for the same amount of time, for 6 days straight.

We had about 10 broken chains, about 10 flats, 2 blown rear shocks and one trip to the hospital on day 6 with a dislocated middle finger.

I took 180 digital pics but can't really figure out how to post a bunch here. Anyway, I've attached proof that I was there.

I'm going back with a different group either this April or May. I just have to try to stay in some kind of shape over the winter.

By the way, were you dirt biking there? We saw a bunch of dirt bikers on the same trails we were mountain biking on. Did you do the Slickrock Trail? I sure hope you did, because it was awesome.

Keep the rubber side down.

Sorry. Here's the pic I tried to attach the first time.

Jason,

As to my question as to whether you were dirt biking, I obviously should have looked at all your pics before jumping the gun on my response.

Beautiful pics by the way. Our weather was a little different I think - blue sky and 70 every day. We never saw a cloud the whole time (nor did we see the deer we hit at 2:00 am in Montana on the way back). Good thing we had a rental.

Moab is such a great play ground for those who don't mind a little dirt. ;D

I am suprised that more businesses haven't taken stock in promoting this off-road disneyland. Kinda like how you see whole towns grow up around the sky areas.

Nice Pics Fish!!

Good to see you are still around Jason. Did you sell your AV???

I was just out there for a weekend of dirtbiking. ?I love that place. ?Go every year. ?I was lucky this year. ?No broken bones or dirtbikes. And you are correct, the pictures do not do it justice. Everything is so much bigger and harder than it looks. Same for video. I have helmet cam video that just doesn't tell the truth.
