...in knowing that the total awesome looking instrument cluster from the Hummer H2, with it's chrome trim rings, large numbers and white background, as well as having the tranny temp gauge will slide right into your Avalanches. The picture on the Hummer site DOES NOT reflect the shipping instrument cluster, that IMHO is better looking than all of them, including the Cadillac Escalade.

Sorry - won't work on a 2002 because it has the "new" style trip computer and different location for the trip odo reset (ugh). Although if someone out there can make it work - man I'm all eyes and ears!

If it is true that the cluster from the H2 will fit in the 2003 AV . here is what it looks like

Bingo! That's exactly what it looks like!

Chief,

I'm glad you have found one good thing for those of us who are waiting for the 2003, I was getting worried that none of these good tips I am picking up from this web site would work.

All hail the Chief!

Supermobile,

Unfortunately Chevrolet do not import any of their models into Australia. ?The local GM product, called a Holden, have nothing like your pick ups. ?Here most of our tradesmen and farmers drive a smaller locally made version called a ute (utility). ?Gm worldwide have told me they will not help me import any of the US models as it would be in competition to their local product (Holden).

So I have to come over your way and buy one then bring it back here, cut the dash into a few hundred bits and reassemble it on the other side for our RH drive rules. ?:7:

But life would be no fun if there were no challenges, I'm planning on putting my name forward to the Goo for a new club award. ?I think it should be called... The CAFCNA most radical MOD award. ?I reakon that moving the steering wheel to the wrong side would have to win that one! ?

Do you have pictures of your current dash?

Did you go through the same process or did you buy it already modded?

All I can so is wow!

My current vehicle is a 1995 pick up, the local engineering shop done most of the work and we fitted a 1998 dash and gauges into it. I didn't take any photos at the time, would be happy to post some of the finished product if you like. I will make sure that I keep a good photographic record of the process being done to the Avy when we do it.

So did you buy an Avy and are in the process of modifying it or are you waiting for a 2003? That is awesome that do that. i bet that local shop loves to see you coming.

Wow, that looks nice!
Oh well, guess I'll just have to settle with my old Escalade cluster! >:D

Any body want to do a contest on guessing how much a Hummer cluster costs? My guess......$525 list.
