Have any of you ever used Renu IT, www.renuliner.com? I put it on last night as directed, and it's pealing off already!! I am so pissed! I might have to take it to the dealer to have it professionally removed. And I'm sure that's not going to be cheap. Do any of you have any suggestions? I am going to contact the company tomorrow to see what their liability policy is.
Don't ever put this crap on your Avi!

Haven't even heard of this product before, but from the fact that it's peeling tends to point right at improper surface preparation.  What products had you used on the cladding prior to this stuff?

get it removed and have the dealer use:  www.gatorbackcoatings.com

I followed the directions exactly.
I had been using Mother's Back-to-Black.
I tried using a scotch bright gently, and it seemed to help remove the black skin-like pealing, but it's going to take me forever to remove this stuff. Plus, I'm afraid of scratching the plastic.
I will try using a power washer.
Thanks for the help.

And what did you use to strip the Mothers product off?  From your description, nothing, so you effectively tried to coat over a slick, siliconlike product.  No coatings will adhere to something like that.

Ditto, good info.  (y)

(y) Power washing took the Renu It right off....
Thank you all for your help. Now I get to start all over just like it never happened. The Gatorback treatment is the one I am going to go with. I just wish I could afford to have the dealer put it on. I'm going to call today for prices.

Again, NEVER use Renu IT www.renuliner.com. After reading the responses of my post, I was a complete moron for putting the stuff over top of Back-to Black. But, at 48 y/o, I will never stop learning.

By-the-way, I tried to call the manufacturer and was never able to get ahold of them. I tried to email them, and never got a response. So, again, NEVER this product!  :E:

I still love my Avalanche...after owning it for over two years now. I get compliments all the time.

Your local dealer's body shop should apply the "Gatorback" product free of charge. Mine was done on the 7th of August for no charge.

Go to Gatorback's web site, print the TSB and take it to your dealer.
