Roadmaster Active Suspension

they are not worth it in my opinion because the 2500 springs are the springs from the hd's i think (don't hold me to this), and if their not they sure are built like hd truck springs. they do not sag much at all when there is a load so i see this product usless. it would be good on say, a 1/2 ton silverado but im sure us 2500 guys have stonger springs. just my 2 cents. Alex

1500's have coil springs
so this only applies to the 2500 - the value would be in preventing wheel hop and when towing a heavy load. Just thinking out loud. ;D

oh i know the 1500's have a 4 link coil set up in the rear. the roadmaster suspension thing could be used as a traction bar because it prevents wheel hop. i don't know about it though but there is only one way to find out if it works ;). Alex

I was trying to avoid the phrase "traction bar", but you caught me. OK, which one tries it? ;D

installed today,WOWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!!!!!!! i can't believe what a difference in handling, corners like a vette and no more wheelhop on takeoff!!!! if you own a 2500 you gotta do this mod!! and you have nothing to lose because roadmaster has 30 day moneyback if you're not satisfied. ordered from    http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RAS%2DMKIIXXF&N=400205+115&autoview=sku

I was intrigued after reading on their website that their upside down traction bar increases towing capacity.  So I wrote to them and explained that Chevy says my Av can tow a 12,000 lb trailer and wanted to know how much more I could tow after install the RAS.  They replied back that with the RAS installed, you can increase your tongue weight rating by half.  I replied, restating exactly what their website states about increasing towing capacity, not tongue weight and asked again how much more can I tow with the RAS.  No answer back.

they won't increase your towing capacity, they will however make the towing safer with less sway and no bottoming out (if your tongue weight is less than ideal)
