Has anyone looked into the GMC Sierra Denali roof marker lamps? I'm thinking they might look good on my Av. Drilling in the roof and fishing the wiring give me pause, but I like the look. Cheers, Jim

"The P/N's are; 15059751(center lamp $60.50 list) ?15059752(side lamps $60.50 list ea.) and 15366160(harness $30.96 list). ?Even with the 25% discount I got through the dealer the $55 factory option is a bargain at twice the price! I also have the '98 style lights from JC Whitney in my garage since I never put them on my last truck. I didn't waste any time putting the new ones on my '02, however, because I love the look of the "cyclops". The harness is a must, it is well worth the price and makes for a super clean install. It took me about 3-4 hours to put them in, much of that time spent carefully measuring before drilling and they turned out great.
CAUTION: If you don't like the idea of drilling holes into your brand new $30,000 vehicle don't try this at home!"![]()

Installation at body shop was around four hours and it was days before I got them properly wired. ? Wiring was finially done at Chevy dealer.

I really like the appearance of the lights, especially at night. (The the bar looks nice during the day too.) The paintjob is very nice as well.bbtx said:OK folks here they are. ?The installation is not as simple as running the wires around. ?Drilling holes is not simply through thin roof either. ?The problem G spoke of is in the subframe up there, you either drill through it or carefully try to arrange the lights to avoid it. ?It is a strong structure. ?Anyway, be glad to give pointers and tips if anyone interested. ? Yeah in a lot of states, top markers must be amber.Boar-Ral said:[...]and would worry that clear or blue roof marker lights may appear as a second vehicle behind you, from a distance.
I have not seen a visor that has roof marker lights, though I have seen them on other trucks. They look quite nice as well. An option is to purchase a visor and drill into that. It hurts a lot less than drilling into the truck itself. Of course, mounting the visor itself might involve drilling. (I would assume it does, but am not certain.)Tazman said:The markers look good. ?But what about us that would not like the feeling of the drill through the roof? ?Does anyone know if they make an exterior sun visor with makers on it ?for our avy's yet (like the one from lund). ?How would you think that would lookor would it look to tacky??
