I just checked my schedule, and it is a little off from what I told you on the phone, working from 2-10  :E:  So unless it is a breakfast GTG, I'm out  :needhug:

Saturday night I will be at the Ted Nugent Concert at DTE!!  (y)

Sunday and Monday I will be at the river swinging of the rope into the water!! (y)

We were going to go to that too, but Chris has to work :(?

Our house is about 3 mins from DTE if you can't drive home!!!?

That does look like fun

I still have to work 10 hours tonight but here's an idea  :0:
Same place the Sloan Summer Auto Fair is held.

Sept. 2: UAW car show, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Sloan Museum, 1221 E. Kearsley St., Flint. No charge.

All authentic/original-motorized vehicles at least 50 years old are eligible to enter this laid back event two weeks from now. The Summer Auto fair got so big with all the custom rides and hotrods the old car buffs felt slighted, many of them enter both shows.

GOLDEN MEMORIES CAR SHOW
Sunday, September 16, 2007
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If anyone wants to go see Nugent and doesn't have tickets I have 8 vouchers for free lawn seats (only $5 for parking)...

I like to sleep alot Saturdays after working 4 ten hr. night shifts. Nugent show would be fun but I think I'd rather go to bed early and maybe wander the free auto show in my neighborhood for a while on Sunday.

Besides the free UAW autoshow they have other stuff going on I didn't hear about.
If anyone's passing thru it's right off I-475 at Longway, about a mile north of I-69.

NASCAR roars into Flint for Labor Day

As part of activities marking the 70th anniversary of the historic Sit-Down Strike in Flint, three NASCAR-related exhibits with United Auto Worker sponsorship are in Flint for the public to see Saturday and Sunday.

The exhibits, which are free and open to the public, arrived in three semi-trailers Friday morning and are part of numerous activities taking place this Labor Day weekend in the Flint Cultural Center and other areas. The activities are sponsored by UAW Region 1-C and the Flint Cultural Center under the theme "Ordinary People Changing the World."

The NASCAR exhibits include hands-on racing simulators, a miniature racing track and show cars of NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne and Elliott Sadler. Also on display are the red, white and blue Corvette pace car that lead the 2006 Indianapolis 500, a Ford F-150 pace truck and a Shelby GT500 pace car.

The exhibits are in the parking lot next to the Sloan Museum in the Cultural Center and are open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
