This is my custom jobber. Took me about 4 days to paint it properly and about 3 weeks to perfect the process. I've turned down about 30 offers to make more of them because its just a pain in the @$$!!!!

Hard to guess my trucks theme isn't it?

Black is by far my favorite one. If you look closely at this one, you can see there is a texture to it. It all happened by accident. When painting the bowtie, at about the third coat the paint started to crack. So I put on another coat. Still cracked as it dried. So I clear coated a few coats. Then I went with about 8 coats of black. Each coat slowly but surely filled in the cracks. I finished it off with about 6 more coats of clear coat. If you hold it in your hand, it weighs about a pound now! But if you look at it, it has a cool, leather-like texture.

You bet the Av looks better without a license plate . It's great to see that bowtie pride!

I think you all in Phoenix are faring better with the drought than us in Denver. That's a scary thought that you're getting more precip. than us . Can you believe there are idiots here that want to shut off the Colorado River to AZ ? I'm not one of them.

I'm gonna have AZ withdrawals next month during Spring Training .

Love the pics. I'd be interested in a U.S. flag bowtie for my Av. I'd also like those bowtie reflectors for those steps in the back.

At one point I also considered those flag bowties especially after seeing pics from some of our members.

They are really beautiful---an opinion equally shared by all those thieves out there. I got scared that it would get the five finger discount while parked at a local mall or something.

If you have one of those expensive trenz or flag bowties, it would definitely be a good idea to secure them behind the grillle.

Me? I'll just stick to one of these cheap 13 dollar stock factory bowties---one can of duplicolor and I'm set.

If they get stolen? Well, I'll be mad for like 5 minutes and then move on. (But not before hunting down the dirtbag ? ? )

Looks like we got 2 bowtie threads going neck-to-neck here. The other one is also cool called "Color Changing Bowties". We are getting bowtie fever.
