I MADE A SIMPLE BUT STURDY FLAG POLE HOLDER FOR THE AVALANCHE.
I used a 1/4 inch steel plate cut to 4" by 5 1/4, a four inch piece of square channel and three socket head M6-1 1/2X20 bolts.
Remove the three torx bolts from the trim at the left rear corner of the bed and set the trim aside.
Drill the three hole pattern in the steel plate.
Cut one end of the square channel at a 45 degree angle and weld it to the steel plate. (stay centered and to the inside of the plate to clear the storage lid).
Paint and bolt to the bed with the three socket head bolts. note: you may want to tap in two small screws for tension on the pole in the channel.
Just add the flag and join in the parade!!!
