Slippery Tailgate!

Does anybody have a mod idea that would remedy the slippery tailgate and midgate?

Most marine dealers carry a non-slip finish for the inside of aluminum boats. It is really non-slip, however it does not clean up easily without scrubbing and a heavy water spray. Don't really know what you are trying to accomplish, but if I wanted to do it, I would screw a carpet to the parts with trim screws and washers. They it can be removed for cleaning. Carpets can be cut to fit,and bound by any reputable carpet dealer.
