Just a secondory question: ?How many of you go back to the same dealership where you bought your AV? I bought mine 250 miles away from where I live, so I will have to be taking it to our local dealer. Because they did not sell it, I am wondering how interested they will be in fixing any problems.
Actually, you may find that the dealer will welcome you with open arms. True, they make some money off of you when you buy the truck, and your local dealer
will be dissapointed you didn't buy it there.
However, over the lifetime of a vehicle, they make a lot more money servicing vehicles than they do selling them. Even for warranty repairs, GM reimburses the dealer for the costs, the "free" service doesn't come out of the dealer's pocket. If they think things through, they will realize that you are a source of income and they need to keep you as a happy customer. Unfortunately, not all dealers think that way.
Yes, dealers are in the busness to sell cars, but they're
really in the business of selling service and parts! They just have to sell the cars so people will have them to bring in for service.
