Here's a quick summary and several photos from of our latest event...
I got some fantastic photos during the day's activities...

San Diego/Julian/Anza Borrego Cruise Photos!
The So Cal Chapter met on Saturday, May 3 at 8:30 AM in San Diego, California. We had 9 Avalanche owners brave the rainy weather to attend this meet from all over Southern Ca. We left San Diego to head to Julian, a small historic mountain community.
On the way we took a quick pit stop at Dudley's Bakery. (below)
Inside Dudley's... (left 2 right) Wind4Power, Lightning, avking, & dc4all.
(below) Here we are back on the road to Julian. It's was still raining!
Once in Julian, we browsed the town and had lunch...
Next, we left Julian to travel to Anza Borrego State Park
for some sight seeing, offroading, and camping.
It was still raining... but just wait!
Notice the transition from the lush green foliage to rocky territory....
Once we entered the state park, we stopped into Tamarisk Grove campground
to set up camp. After setting up we took off for some
light offroading. No More Rain! (below)
(below)Here we are at the Anza Borrego Visitor Center!
Next we did a little offroading to arrive at Font's Point. (below)
You'll notice a little cluster of people around a white AV, it's CA HIKRs. He had a broken suspension part... but that kinda deserves it's own topic.
Just one photo of the spectacular views from Font's Point!
Yeah! The rain is gone!
Several of us checking out the awesome view!
Here we are back at the campground setting up for some great eats!
We'll that was our day in a nutshell. Thanks to all those who attended!
Wind4Power and I had a fantastic time! I hope you all did too!
A special thanks to Ari (Lightining) for thinkin' up this great cruise!
