you will either need a handheld programmer (hypertech, superchips etc) which will allow you to up the limiter or a custom tune (Nelson, Jesse Bubb etc)

You do realize that you are driving a 6000# shoebox with undersized brakes to handle speeds in excess of 100 mph don't you?

The answer to your question is quite simple though..... money!

I agree with FlaBouy, and don't think Avs are built for speeds in excess of 100mph. Gas mileage couldn't be good either...
 
Agree. I didn't mean to sound like 100 mph was a safe thing to do either. GM put that there for a reason.
 
Over here you can drive over that, Schelbi has had his up to 125, BUT again speed rated tires, I have personally driven at 100 for 8 hours straight going to Garmish, AVA did'nt miss a beat.

The only draw back is the braking. You gotta have better brakes and brake fliuld, the whole works.

But live by the simple rule no matter where you are at, OBEY the posted speed limits, they are there for a reason.

Just go fast you can buy a jet box that will freeze your speedometer at 90 but will let you go as fast as you want.It will cost you 175 w shipping.If we wanted safety we would be all be driving minivans.

the Av is fine over 100 mph... it's the tires that are not rated..... :wave:

i have the hypertrech III prorammer and removed the limiter, i have speed rated 23's and took her up to 131mph (closed course of course) it's hard to believe so i took a pic on my phone of my GPS (pioneer avic N3)

I agree the limiter sucks beans.  I wanted to do over 100 but couldn't.  Now with my new Yokohamas I really want to go over 100 and see what she has.  Lucille can handle it. She is my green baby and I would not let any harm come to her.    :B:
 
i got diablosport programmer  set to155 which i never reach it ,but i passed 100 +mph, and the truck wants to go more, and close to 5000 rpms
