The CAFCNA Savannah Chapter Cordially Invites You to Savannah/Tybee Island, Georgia on October 10-12, 2003!

The Savannah Chapter, with assistance from many CAFC members, has developed this GTG activity to provide daily enjoyment for each member and guest. The following outline includes group activities and suggestions for "things to see or do" that might interest you in the Savannah-Tybee Island area.

There will be planned activities and enough down time to do your own thing as well. Please consider taking this opportunity to meet your fellow Avalanchers. mmdavidw will be there with the neon show! Dave0266 will be there with the "White Whale" and will speak briefly about painting cladding! Wonder91178 will be unveiling a new design! Gandolphxx will be there with "The Ultimate Urban Assault Vehicle"! (y) :cool: Most of the Av's you've seen on the site will be on display at this event! The Savannah chapter has planned this event with input from many other chapters and there will be something for everybody. If you've not yet attended an AV GTG you owe to yourself to see the line of AV's headed down the street!

Other Tybee Island hotel rooms are availible October 10-12 at rates between 59.95 @ Howard Johnson (across street from Ocean Plaza Beach Resort) and 149.95 @ Desota Beach oceanfront. Historic Savannah has many hotels or Bed & Breakfast Inns for you to consider.


OK folks, firm up your AV GTG schedule, tell the boss and be poolside 6:00pm Friday October 10th. to kick things off. ;D The parking lot on left side of the pool, with the exception to spaces directly at hotel, is reserved for our AV's Friday afternoon. Party size lot. ;)



CURRENT DAILY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS ​

Thursday October 9th.

6pm-ish Early AVers night on the town.
Midnight Early Avers morning on Tybee.


Friday October 10th.

10am-ish Details after your suggestions. Follow the AV leader.
6pm Pool side introductions and GTG information.
7pm-ish Dinner activity - your choice. Many places to eat within walking distance.
9pm-ish Rejoin and get to know your AV friends around the Pool - Beach - Pier.

Saturday October 11th.

9am Cruise (8:30 line up) to Fort Pulaski National Monument.
Noon Lunch @ Charity donation activity location.
2pm-ish Your time to visit Savannah Historic District or Cruise back to Tybee Island. ? Lighthouse / North Beach.
6pm Sunset Dolphin Cruise @ Lazzaretto Creek Marina.

7pm Group dinner at a old Tybee Island school house. INFO HERE
9pm-ish DJ Party in OPBR Conference Room. Big PURPLE Cake.
Midnight >:D Things happen on the beach. >:D

Sunday October 12th.

10am Cruise to 'Hummer Track" Drive your AV or a Hummer on the track.
6pm Meet at pool for evening GTG.

Those AVers not attending the Hummer activity should schedule "Enjoyment Time"
with your AV friends on Tybee Island or in Savannah at your leisure.

We all know it but....some have to leave....so plan now to leave happy....post your pictures....tell your friends about Savannah....the AV Cruise....the Seafood....the Party....and all your new "AV FRIENDS".

BTW...We "Hummers" will have one for you @ 6pm. ;)

At all events my suggestion to you is simple. "Always Dress Casual", get to know your new AV friends quickly and take part in all the Savannah Chapter CAFC GTG fun you can handle.
