Just a Pic of my front end if anyone is interested in how to put lights up front on their bar without drilling any holes in the brush guard.

Very nice mod. Nevertheless, I agree with Yamar, closer pics please. I have the stock brush guard also and would love to see close up pics.

I'll post some closeup shots whenever I get back on my home PC. The total cost of steel was 8 dollars from home depot. And the chroming cost was 65 bucks. The rest is just some custom bending a-la vise and some holes drilled. I did need the dremel to waste some plastic on the brush guard. Anyway I think it looks excellent.

More pics to come.......and a step by step

yeah I NEED some details of this mod...

absolutely sweet!

I can't wait to find out how to make that bar, so I can cure this disease:

Sorry its taking so long guys ive been out of town with work and my pics of the truck are on my home PC. I will let you know the materials. From home depot I just got some angle iron. Not too heavy duty. Also some flat bar stock, must be pretty thick. Total cost of about 10 bucks for the steel. I have to show pics in order to do the explaining. Hopefully i'll get home tonite.

Gyro-

What kinda lights did you install and what do you think of them? I just put grill and tail guard on my truck and now there's something else missing. (isn't this always the case?)

I love it... can't wait for the step by step.

As u can see here there are bolts behind the plastic. I dremeled the plastic out so I could fit my pieces of steel in.

1" by 1/4" bar stock was bent in the vice. You can get an idea of how it was bent and what shape it is from this pic. I can send bigger pics if necessary. But under the angle iron is a 90 degree bend in the bar stock to fit the bolts through.

Now it takes a bit of time to get the right angles in order to clear the cladding but its pretty easy to do in the vice. Then fix it on both sides to the bolts which you can see in the previous picture. Drill holes for lights and voila. Oh and by the way I got mine chromed for a bout 50 bucks so as to match everything else.

Any other questions im more than happy to answer.

Thanks !!!! Great pics!!! This is what I envisioned after I looked under the plastic guard to see how it was assembled.

That's the best looking factory guard I've seen. By far. Did you consider using tubular stock (like the rest of the guard) instead of the angle iron?

Well it would involve welding. The total cost of steel was around 10 bucks and 50 of it to chroming. So if one has a bit of time on his/her hands they can do this real easy. This is my first trial and it seems to be holding up really nice. I do plenty of offroading with my job in the oilfield so lots of bouncy bouncy and no breaky if u know what i mean.

If I see some tubular steel it wouldnt be hard to retro fit it to this model. I kind of think my design looks sharp anyway. Oh well keep the comments coming. I wish I had time to build these in my spare time because i'd sell em for 30 bucks raw steel.
