if you are really just worried about your back seat, why not go with a midgate box?

It will block your seats from folding all the way down.

A midgate box allows you to mount subs behind the rear seat.  There are several versions out there, but most of them have the enclosure section mounted behind the plane where the gate is (in the bed basically) so that the subs have enough depth to fit without hitting the back of the seat.

a midgate is the part that folds down, a box is attached to the back to provide the additional airspace

Yes, with the ones from Subthump the midgate is definitely still functional.

still functional, designed to still play in the down position and they are designing a padded storage bag for the glass.

I have a Sony explode 10" sub that came out of my boat and a Clarion 200w marine amp.  What would be the best way to install in the AV?  The stereo is the stock unit with the Bose speakers.
