SUB TUBE UNDER REAR SEAT...

HEY,

HERE IS A PIC OF MY NEW SUB "TUBE"...
IT'S DIFFERENT, BUT IT SOUNDS GOOD FOR IT'S SIZE.
I ALSO JUST INSTALLED AN ECLIPSE IN DASH MONITOR/RECEIVER, WITH AN 8 DISC CHANGER IN THE CENTER CONSOLE, A DVD PLAYER IN THE CONSOLE ABOVE THE CD STORAGE BOX, AND AN 8'" OVER HEAD MONITOR WITH WIRELESS HEADPHONES.
I ALSO HAVE SONY SEPERATES IN THE FRONT DOORS.
THE SOUND AND PICTURE QUALITY FROM THE ECLIPSE AND OVERHEAD MONITOR ARE VERY GOOD. MY SON AND WIFE LOVE IT...ESPECIALLLY ON OUR TWICE A MONTH RIVER TRIPS.... ;D

Okay, that's different than any other sub box I've seen and I like it. Very nice mod. Are you able to fold the seats flat?
 
I HAD AN OLD 10" SPEAKER TUBE IN MY GARAGE AND I FIGURED I HAD NOTHING TO LOSE.
I STILL NEED TO CARPET THE WHOLE THING, BUT I FIGURED I'D SEE IF I LIKED THE SOUND FIRST.
AND YES I CAN FOLD THE SEATS DOWN, BUT I DON'T EVER NEED TO.
I FIGURE IF I NEED TO CARRY SOMETHING THAT BIG I'D RATHER JUST USE ON OF MY TRAILERS INSTEAD.
AND AS OF MAY 28, 2004 THERE ARE ALWAYS 2 CAR SEATS BACK THERE ANYWAY...:)
 
Got a question about your DVD player installed about the CD Storage...Is it standard din size and were you able to mount it there like a standard din size HU? I assume you had to trim the console a abit for it to fit in flush? I am planning on installing a DVD player (Alpine DVA 5210) in the same location and was wondering if you had any mounting problems?
 
THIS IS ACTUALLY MY 2ND DVD PLAYER THERE.
THE FIRST I INSTALLED WASN'T DIN SIZED AND REQUIRED A LOT OF TRIMMING OF THE OPENING...
I DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY IT LOOKED SO I WENT OUT THE NEXT DAY AND BOUGHT A DIN SIZED DVD PLAYER.
I BOUGHT A NEW COVER FROM THE DEALER ($29) AND STARTED THE PROCESS ALL OVER AND IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER.

Did you still install it in the storage space above the cd holder? I was thinking of installing it where the cd holder is and use the existing cover/flap to hide the dvd player. Thoughts????
 
Yeah there where I put it.
I don't know if it is deep enough behind the CD sorage area for it?
The main bracket is behind there.
Mine is pretty well hidden where it is at.
The hole is smaller than the DVD player, but I use the remote the whole time anyway, so it doesn't matter.
