Hello all you AV fans! ?Yes, another cruise just may be in the works has been planned....if you all are interested!! ?FleaBoy sent us an email and this is what he had to say......

Hello,

I wanted to know a couple of things. ?First of all, is there a cruise planned for Dec. 7. ?If so, I am very interested. ?Second, my family owns Holmes County's Amish Flea Market ( I don't know if you ever heard of this place). ?We are open 3 days a week and get around 15000 people per weekend. ? We are in the middle of Amish country with lots of things to do. ?We are trying some new promotional ideas for next year and one of the things we talked about was car shows. ?We have a few lined up. ?I thought maybe a bunch of the club members would be interested in coming up here on Sat. next summer and show off their AV's. ?If so we have lots of shopping for the ladies, a great restaurant, and we could all have fun with our toys. ?You got to meet a bunch of the members so I thought you might know if they would be interested in something like this. ?If there is enough interest, I thought I would start a thread on the website. ?Let me know what you think. ?P.S. ?My name on the site is Fleaboy

I think it is a GREAT idea! ?Well, anything to do with SHOPPING to me is a GREAT idea! ?Please post your thoughts and ideas!!!

that was the message that started it now here are the plans:
Date: June 21st the the Holmes County Amish Flea Market
Time: 11:00-5:00
Car Show, we have showed off our AV's to plenty of Club members how about showing the general public the Chevy Avalanche
Open to any and all Avalanchers​

This flea market is in the heart of Ohio Amish country which means good food, great shops and good people.

Itinerary:​
for those that want to get there a little early I just got off the phone with Fleaboy. ?Here are the plans that he would like to do....

9am....meet at the Dutch Valley Inn for breakfast. ?It is at exit 83 off of I77....this is the Dover Exit. ?Go West on 39 about 5 miles. It will be on the left. ?There are a few shops to wander through, then head over to the Amish Flea Market at about 11. ?From 11 to 5 we will be free to shop and eat at the Der Dutchman Express as we want.

What he wants to know is how many are going to come for sure? ?He would like to make up dash plaques! ?:)

Also, if you check out www.amishfleamarket.com, you will see his site, the store and it also has links if you are looking for accommodations.

Bring some lawn chairs and I'll bring my pop up shelter so we have a nice shady area to talk and answer questions about the "club"

this sounds fun. count us in. We go up to Amish country (aka Holmes county) atleast twice a year.
 
Sounds like a good road trip. Where in Ohio is this place. I would be coming rom Ft Wayne, IN.

You're in luck. It's an easy drive east on US 30 to Wooster, Oh. Then US 250 southeast about an hour to the Amish country. It will be a great GTG.

Big summer crowds and lots of shopping, at the Amish shops, plus great food.

I was hoping this might spark some interest. I am planning on going to Oglebay Dec 7 and hope to see a bunch of you there. I thought this may be something fun for next year. If I see enough interest I will get a date set and book a block of rooms at the the local hotels since they go quick through the summer. Thanks WVBubba for posting this thread. Hope to hear from you all soon. :)
 
So many cruises and so little time.......
I will be in for this one too...just have to be careful with dates. The East Coast Regional at Pigeon Forge is tentatively planned for the first week of June.

Going to be hard to keep the wife away from this one.
One of her favorite areas to visit (shop).
 
Orboater, look at it this way... it makes a good distraction so we can plan for and talk about mods >:D

This is how I look at it; wife say "honey wouldn't this (insert item here) look nice", and I say sure honey and I get the LOF and FIPK. ;)

Got a call from UPS today, they said they have no idea where my LOF is, and wanted to confirm it hadn't already been delivered. It hasn't. :p

Jason also said he will ship out the replacement now, and not wait until the UPS claim is finalized. Way to go Jason, thanks! (y)

Things are back on track again! Maybe I'll be able to put it on next weekend. :love:

Here's a neat place that is only about 16 miles from the flea market Mytruckstore They have a bunch of GOODIES for modding.
 
Maybe we should plan a quick out of the way trip and "invade" this place. Heheheh >:D

This GTG will take some extra planning. There is a tour through Amish country that goes thru a little town called Charm. Great little restaurant in this town of about ten shops. We always make sure it's on our list of must do stops.

This will be a great GTG!!! The Great Amish Tour. :D

Zach: sands lives in my old home town North Ridgeville, Lorain county (exit 9 on Turnpike)
 
Zimms, you are real close on the time frame, my wife's cousin lives in Farmington Hills and it takes us about 3-1/2 hours to get there from the Akron area. That is a very easy drive :D

So does that mean you will be going us next year? ;)

Looks like it's an easy 3.5 hour drive for me. The shortest CAFCNA trip yet! I hope to be able to make it, but it depends on the dates. I won't know until we get closer to it, but the sooner I can plan, the better.

SANDS611, Might be able to give you a hand when the time comes. Looks like we are neighbors. :D I am just down the road in Elyria. We ordered and are waiting for our 1st AV. An Onyx Black 2500. Expect delivery in about 3-4 weeks. :love:
