I ordered a set of Monroe Reflex monotube front shocks from Summit Racing for my 2002 Z71 Avalanche (part # 911505MM) and they sent me part #911501MM which their website indicates is for 1500 Silverados and Sierras.? I talked to Summit Racing tech support and he said it MIGHT be possible that these shocks are correct, but cannot be sure until they contact Monroe tech support on Monday.? I wondered if anyone has ordered from them and received the same thing?

I just looked at the Monroe web site spec charts and the 911501 and 911505 are identical, same compression, extension, upper and lower mount types, travel distance and parts pack.  So why the different part #'s?

I have an 07 Monroe catalog and the listing is clear. The 911505 is for Avalanche and Suburbans and such and the 911501 is for Silverado Pickups only. I would say they sent you the wrong shocks :(

And here is Monroes technical number if you want to call yourself :

734-384-7846

Thanks for the number, tried calling but no-one there till Monday

Talked to Summit Racing support and they will send out the correct shocks and will have them within a day of talking with them.  Pretty good service after the screw up on the sale

I can't remember Summit ever making a mistake on any of my stuff over the years. Glad they are taking care of the problem

I've always found them very reliable, good to hear they're fixing it

Well they are not going to fix it.  It seems that no one currently has these shocks available (the monotubes) until sometie near the end of the month.  I'm just a little perturbed that Summit told me that I would have the correct shock the next day, when Summit knew that none are available.

Now I'm thinking of just buying a cheap passenger side front to replace the shock that has no damping left in it until the Reflex monotubes become available.

uh oh

I looked at rockauto.com, then called their number and specifically asked if they were in stock ready to ship and she said yes, she was looking at alot of them on her computer screen.

So will try ordering again and see what happens

Ordered the shocks from rockauto.com Thursday morning, had the shocks Saturday afternoon and put the fronts on Sunday morning.  Rockauto ended up being a tad cheaper when all was said and done.
