I can?t tell when my sunroof is completely closed. I have to keep taping the button until I think it is fully closed, anyone have this problem?

YES. I knew it wasn't just me. The only wasy I know it is closed is when the wind noise goes away. Since we here in Minnesota are still dealing with crappy weather, I ran mine through the touchless car wash. All seemed fine until I got under the dryer. It blew all kinds of water into the truck and down my back! When I close the window, it always goes into the opposite mode (from moon to sun or vice-versa). Never feels like there is a middle, closed position.

All you do is hold the button down until it stops on it's own. Then you know it's sealed.

It's as easy as that. Don't let go of the button until the motor stops.

Trash
;D

When the sunroof is open in either setting you are to hold the button down. Keep holding it down. Don't tap it because then it will start to open in the other direction. I had this problem on the first day I had the truck and then figured it out. Just hold the button down until the wind noice goes away. By holding it down the glass will not go to the opposite open position. Example: If the Sunroof has slid all the way to the back position, push the button in the forward direction. Do not let go until you here the wind go away. Even after the wind goes away, by continuing to hold the button down the sunroof will not reopen in the other direction.

I just push and hold the buttom and it stops at the closed position. Another tap of the button does send it to the opposing open position.

I guess the number eight corresponds to a smiley, yes folks it is eight degrees right now. Spring get here NOW!

Thanks I will try it today, this club is great, when you have a question just post it and you get help right away...

Couldn't take it any longer - braved the cold and tried it. Sure enough, you were all right. I must have missed reading that in my manual

Thanks all for the help - hopefully next rinse at the touchless will be a dry one!

I had to tell my Mom the same thing. She bought a Blazer the week after I bought my AV. Hold the button till it stops and the sun roof will be closed. Push it again, and hold it to have it in the "pop up position". My favorite part is opening it at the car wash. It is really neat how those robotics work. Only thing, you have to watch your head so it doesn't hit you.

Just kidding.... ;D ;D ;D

jstrickl,

I know my moonroof was closed properly and still fell victim to a "touchless" car wash shower. Water pressure was pretty high. I don't have problems with leaking with rain or low pressure car washes.

???

It wouldn't hurt to ask the dealer about it since almost everyone uses high pressure car washes now. Of course if the nozzles were about an inch away from the window and it never leaks any other time, I wouldn't worry about it unless the water was pouring in.

Was it just a drip or two?

When I got wet, it was a good glass of water amount that leaked onto my head and down my back! I did rewash this weekend at a coin-op wash and it stayed bone dry. Probably won't hit the auto wash again. I only went as the brush at the coin-op put a couple of scratches on. I have just decided I will always hand-wash at the coin up. It looks so nice right now!! As soon as it gets warm here, I'll be doing the Zaino thing.

Who sells Zaino? I put a furnace in my garage two years ago and it's great for cleaning the vehicles in the winter. I never heard of Zaino till I saw this site. I want to get some anyway. I use to use Mequiers gold, but everyone here is saying it's better to use a polymer than a wax. I do use some stuff called Pinnacle which removes all the residue before I wax. No sense in waxing over dirt.

ZAINOBROS.COM

Call them or e-mail and they will tell you if a local distributor is nearby.

The local will be a detailing enthusiest and they are very helpful.

Please note Zaino does not have any paint cleaner or abrasives so proper paint prep work is required for the awesome shine.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. Did you get the scratches out of your truck?

Never had scratches in my truck....I do have some chips though.

The Z5 is a must for any color as I think it looks better.
