Has anyone put a suspension lift on their Av yet? The Rancho system looks good. What are the pros and cons of using a suspension lift. How does if affect the GM warranty?

I am curious as well! Actually, what about for the 1500 2 wheel drive? Any kits currently available?

Cheers,
Justyn~

:)

Well, I have never installed a rancho kit on an Avalanche but I know they make some good products. I installed a 6" Fabtech on mine and its great. The ride is great, not really stiff and my girlfriend even says it rides great(big plus there)

Fabtech also makes a kit for the 2wd version.

The Fabtech kit is for the 2wd like on Matt's rig.
The Rancho kit is for the 4wd and I hear from a very good source that it is a good kit.

The only thing about the Rancho kit that I don't like is the Rancho red color which they have used since day 1. OK for a truck that's RED but on my Blue AV I would have it Powder coated Blue or Grey.

2wd??? :cautious:
My Av is 4WD my friend. ;DFabtech makes both 4WD and 2WD kits for the Avalanche. They are innovative in the industry with thier 2WD systems.

Hmmmmm.. I was checking out their website, and they don't seem to offer anything for the AV. Do I need to inquire, or?

Cheers,

If anyone is interested thier phone number is 1-877-432-2832

:B:BRAND NEW OWNER HERE.....JUST BOUGHT THE MOST STRIPPED DOWN AV I COULD FIND IN MY AREA....25K OUT THE DOOR 2003 DARK GREY.

I HAVE ORDERED A FABTECH 6"2WD KIT AND SOME NITTO TERRA GRAPPLERS 325/70/16 ON SOME EAGLE ALLOY 16X10'S.

I WOULD ANTICIPATE SOME RUBBING BECAUSE OF THE WIDTH ON THE TIRE/RIM COMBO

ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING CLOSE TO THIS SET UP?

WEERAB,

let me be the first to welcome you to CAFCNA.

WOW!!! I see you're in Scotland... you're the first I think.

CONGRATS on your new AV. Looks like you got a great buy.

I'm not lifted but I know that there are owners out there with 6"+ lifts.

Good Luck and Happy Modding!

Welcome to the club; glad you're here.

Please use the search feature before posting as (1) this topic has been covered many, many times (there's hours of reading on this subject alone) so we (2) don't end up with many posts on the same topic.

The Av is a great truck to lift. Go for it! (y)

Just noticed you mentioned 325s - every company's tire varies slightly but if these Nittos are similar to my BFG 315s then you're probably going to be driving to Rubbin City which is not a good place to go to. Good luck with the lfit and please keep us posted.
