I did change the oil and filter yesterday for my 02' 1500 Av. I used Pennzoil? SUV, Truck and Minivan Motor Oils Synthetic blend.
I think it's a good oil, what do you think?

This is actually the second time I used it. I did change my oil last November with Pensoil Synthetic blend for trucks and SUV(5w-30). The oil monitor life light came on after four months with only 2300 miles.Of course, I live in Pennsylvania and we had a very cold winter and I drive short trips, less than 10 miles.

Do you think that's good?

I use Mobil1, most of my trips are to and from work (Less than 30 miles a day) in stop and go traffic. I get 6,000 miles between oil changes and still have a few % left on my oil monitor life.

I think all the blends are a rip off. They put so little synthetic which is obvious because they never state the percentage of synthetic. If it was a decent amount, they would list it. You can probably put in 5 regular quarts and 1 synthetic quart and get more synthetic than buying a blend:D

I use Mobil 1 and intend to just change the filter when it tells me to change the oil, and add a quart. I'm going to milk it for a yearly oil change or 15000 miles.

Synthetic doesn't break down as fast as petroleum based oils, so as long as it's clean, you should be able to easily get 15000 miles -- remember, I'll be adding a fresh quart & high quality filter every 5000 miles!
