Tailgate Net?

Has anyone tried to use a tailgate net? I bought one made by Steelhorse but it looks like crap. Had to buy the one made for small pickups-the one for fullsize is way too big. Has anyone had better luck? I want to be able to drive around without my tailgate but I dont want to get pulled over.
By the way-I switched to amber DRL's and they are sweet.

Why would you get pulled over for driving w/o a tailgate?

I put one on my truck, but I didn't like the way it looked and the fact that you had to put some screws through the S/M to mount it.

Never heard of getting pulled over for no tailgate, unless you were losing stuff out of the bed.
