I had one heck of a weekend.
Friday night coming home from work, I was stoped at a stop light. A guy in a jacked up jeep CJ pulled alongside me and wanted to race.... Well, I had to defend the honor of the AV. So, the stop light is at the bottom of a hill. The light turns green, we both take off. I am clearly ahead, having the better reaction time. The speed limit is 50mph. I hit that withing seconds, and left off the accelerator. Jeep goes flying by. We hit the chrest of the hill, and a cop is sitting on the other side. Lights go on, and the Jeep is pulled over. I sail on past, waving
Saturday morning. I am heading back to my house, after a trip to the store. The collector streets for my neighborhood have a speed limit of 35mph. the streets are also very curvy. So, I am going down the street at about 40 mph. i tend to hug the right side curb line, because the streets are narrow, and I don't want to get side swiped on the driver side. I hear the boom boom boom of a stereo system, and look in my rearview mirror, and barely see the top of some car that is tail gating me. well, since I am obviously a larger vehicle, the tailgating does not entice me to go faster. So, as I hug the curb, there is a car parked alongside the road in front of me. I barrel towards it, pulling out at the last second..... the dumb sh*t behind me, is so close to me, that he has no clue the car is there. When i pull out, he heads straight into the back end of the parked car. I doubt he even had time to hit the brakes. So, I pull over and get on the cell phone. Another passer-by jumps out of their car and checks on the guy. he is trapped in the car, but otherwise un-hurt. The cops arrive. They free the guy from the car, and run an ID check on him, and he is wanted for sposal abuse. On go the hand cuffs, and off to jail he goes.
So, there you have it, me and Spork doing our part for the protection of everyone.
