I just installed a TBS Poweraid. I can feel the difference around 1600 RPM's.... There is a sucking noise which sounds like a leak or something. Is this normal? I can't figure out the search technique........ I also have the tornado thingy. With the two inthere and the KN air filter, I picked up 2 mpg.

Is the noise normal? did I do something wrong?

Thanks

Jason ???

Makes a slight whistling noise jrose., thats normal.., check to make sure the Spacer is covering the gasket at the top of the intake manifold.., one person here had to lift up on His as He tightened it up..., or it was leaving a little bit of gasket exposed.......

Butch, thanks for the info. I'll check it out. I was just worried the whistling sound was not normal. Sounds like it is though.

Did you do this on yours? Have you noticed any gains or MPG gains?

I did put it on Mine jrose.., had to loose it when I put the Whipple on..., did seem to notice a gain in the Mid Range......

Yeah, the whistling sound is normal. :(
I messed around with mine for an hour trying to dispell everyone elses notion that it was incurable.

And yes, I noticed a significant boost in power after adding it.

Hey zimmsAV, is it possible to install the TBS with the Volant and not have it cause any problems with the fan if I replace the fan with a flexalite?

Thanks.

I have the upd intake, and had to notch out a section about 2 inches deep by 5 inches wide in the fan shroud when I installed the tbs. After all was installed I had about a 1/2 inch between the upd tube and the actual fan blade.
I don't know the specifics of the volant tube, or changing the fan. I wouldn't think changing the fan would alter it's position though.
