Okay, I wish I would have visited this place before I picked up my Victory Red 2k3 Z71 AV.... it came with the Bose indash 6 changer with no outboard device (etc XM, changer)...

So basically I am screwed in trying to utilize any sort of aux input on this thing?

RF just plain blows, and I am used to haveing access to all my mp3's.... :8:

I love my new AV, but why does there have to be such a glaring flaw in the audio system as to not allow aux input, or at least play fricking mp3 cds! :)

Sad but true. Time to look at aftermarket options. There is a ton of info here on just about any setup you might be looking for. Search and ask and ye shall find what ye seek! Welcome aboard mate.

I feel you pain hoby.... I have 4000 mp3 songs and I will not sacrifice quality with the RF solution. JP customs seems to be dragging thier feet on this. The promised to have an adapter by June. I WANT MY MP3!!!!!!

I dnn't believe there will ever be an adaptor available for those radios as they don't have the ability to control an external source (GM or otherwise) to begin with. Sorry guys. JP customs was probably told that they would have as adaptor by the manufacturers so it is not JP's fault at all; I know only too well the bs that the manufacturers can dole out!!

I really do not care if I can control the unit from my head unit. I would think that someone could come up with a unit that plugged into the head unit and that the Bose harness would plug into that would accept low-level inputs. It could have a relay and a separate volume control that would stop the input from the head unit and switch over to the aux input. It could have a nice panel that covered the little storage bin next to the HVAC controls. Heck - I would even pay $200-$250 for something like this. I am sure there is some manufacturer or engineer that could do something like this. Guess I will wait until digital radio makes it here to Denver and upgrade my system at that time and pull out that Bose system.
