Here in NJ we have a thing for good Hot Dogs. I did this in 12 grade.
We drove to about 10 Hot dog stands to try and find the best..
So anybody up for this in the NJ/NY area? I say we could do this on a Sunday.. (and BURP on Monday) Let me Know Thank you
Glenn Enkei Rutts Hut Avalanche ;)

Ok Here's the list of who's going

Doggy bag for Gobot in Fla (y)
Yak also wants a Doggy bag

well.. two definites would have to be rutt's hut in clifton (deep fried w/ special relish) and j.j.'s truck (complete w/ EAT ME t-shirts for sale) near branchbrook park in newark (dirty water dogs loaded).. i can already feel the heartburn kicking in!! mmm.. 10 places u say??? :9:

Had JJ's last night!! the only thing with JJs is waiting till about midnight for them. Taste better that way. >:D If we hit JJ's early enough we can stop by my place and rest and errrr...use the bathroom :-X only 15 or so blocks from JJ's

Rutts is always good... god I love Rippers >:D

Too bad there is no Greys Papia in NJ.

Where else can we get dogs at???

it's times like this that i miss eagan's in north arlington.. way better than rutt's hut and usually free (for me.. my mom worked there for 24 years!) and their fries, w/ gravy and cheese.. were heaven!! damn! now i need some good fries! lol..

I guess I should stock up on toilette paper then?
When I used to live in Sicily, we used to get these Panini that had 2 hotdogs in them, with french fries, (the thick ones, not the McD's size), topped with ketchup and mayo, then it would be put on a grill that would grill both sides at the same time, (a grill on top and on bottom) and it would sort of squish the Panini flat. Now that was the best Hotdog I've ever eaten.

Manny

Is JJ's the little yellow truck that used to be parked there all the time? Was like a yellow toyota with a camper shell? It has been about 12-14 years probably a new truck by now

I just remembered one from when I was a kid and added it to the list.. his son now runs the truck but it is still in the same place and just as good.

Ralph's in Newark right by Independence Park

There used to be a small bar in northeast Philly on Roosevelt Blvd. that cooked hotdogs in beer. They would serve them with sauerkraut. YUM! (y) ;D

If you go to Max's in Long Branch, might as well hit the Windmill while your there.

There are 2 in that area. One with inside seating and one with Outside seating. The one with the Outside seating is designed to resemble a Windmill, go figure.

When are you guys going to do this run?

When do you think you might be in the Long Branch area?
