How may of you have seen something on your Avalanche and thought to yourself, "Gee, I wonder what that is?"

Someone out there should know or they might have been thinking the same thing but for what ever reason didnt want to or didnt know who to ask.

With that said,

What is the little vent thing in the headliner above the drivers seat for?

In the glove box on the right hand side, there appears to be tabs to hold something down.  Any ideas?

On the rear seats, on the outboard seatback cushions, there are little "C" clip things attached with a small string piece.  Any one know what these are?

He has purty carpet  >:D

What is the bubble looking thing on the dash board in the middle near the windshield?

It's the next thing TC will paint, but then he'll wonder why his headlights are on all the time because he just painted the light sensor for the automatic lights.

Can I get a pic or 2 of the underside? I tried to replace it and couldn't get it to snap back into place,? I'm wondering if I"m missing a piece or if something is messed up.

Little blue bubble on his dash  >:D He could get a Dwight Shrute bobble head doll to go with it.

There is a thin flimsy looking washer that snapes in the hole on the bottom.  That ring friction fits the bolt to keep it in place. I looks kinda like the washer on a garden hose but really thin and made of tin.  You can "gently" pull up one from the rear of your front seats, they use the same thing, (different size) to see what it is.  (Im sure its one of those $9.00 parts from the STEALER) I'm missing 3

One broke and a couple are MIA in the garage in the boxes of interior parts that still have to be re-installed

I dont know how many of you have under hood lights mounted on the hood and I dont know if this was a stock option on other Ava's but can someone tell me why the hood has a ground strap on it?

Generally, the ground straps are to provide grounding for any electrical components to chassis such as a hood light.  One usual exception to this rule is typically the hood, where they provide the ground path as a protection from static discharge when servicing.  With the amount of electronic equipment under the hood, most OEM's will ground the hood so that a service tech or us DIY hacks cant open the hood and grab the nearest control box or sensor and fry it.  It is a cheap precautionary measure.

Thanks,

G.
