The plastic cover for the Snakeeyes unit fell off last night. The sticky tape backing finally gave up after numerous attempts to prevent water from leaking in. Curious to know what water proof like sticky backing can be used on the plastic bumper? I talked to my installer and he said the 3M tape should have stuck on a lot longer than 3 months. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I know of one adhesive that might work for you. When I was installing, there was a black adhesive that came with Sony and a couple other brands of speakers that was used to attach the grills to the speaker frames, it was generally referred to as "gorilla snot". There is a "Gorilla Glue" at Lowes that is an epoxy type ashesive, it's not the same thing. These black strips were extremely sticky, didn't seems affected by temperature or moisture, and would stay put, but could be removed with a little pulling without harming the surfaces it was attached to. Check around shops in your area to see if you can come up with some if you want to check it out, if they have anything that ships with it now, that is.
