not a bad idea...then maybe your decal in you back glass wouldn't pi$$ off the H2 guys so much 
I think I saw this guy at a car show a few years ago, There were some DOT questions about them though, maybe by now all that is worked out.

for those who have never driven one of the original military type HUMMERs.... they suck for highway use. Even the H1's aren't much better. If you can think of anything negitive to say about the military hummers and the highway, it probably fits.
As for off road, they are the greatest thing invented. On many occasions I've used a hummer to recover equipment from a stuck vehicle. the only ones I've ever seen get stuck were in 4'+ of water.

I've also heard that the original hummer also breaks alot of CV joints. That is where the weak point is. For what I would do to it... wouldn't need to drive on the highway alot... mostly around town kinda stuff.
