I picked up my 2002 White Avy today and god do i love it! It drives like a caddy (with more off roading capabilites >:D), turns heads, picks up chicks, has built in coolers, and the list goes on and on! Thanks goes out to all u guys and gals for providing the helpful information. Cant wait to take it off roading tomorrow........ i will tell u all about the adventure when i get back!
 
Mine had option A prechecked, Ya know the mother in law, 9-mm over-ride policy.
I tried to check the hot chick re-body box on the sly but the balloon pmt. Looked like it was going to bust the bank. :C:

I wasn't completely satisfied with the option that was installed by the factory (it was very good though). I decided to go with the competition level aftermarket version.

And as some of you know, I have pics to back it up too >:D
 
#1AVY Congrats on ur new AV. I just got mine 3 days ago and dont even want to go through a puddle yet and here u go 4X4ing.... ENJOY......I did'nt know u could pick up chickens with this thing....go figure!

Dang I wish I had the chick option as well, #1. I'll just have to be satisfied with goo's pics!

I've caught myself telling people my AV rides like a cadillac. What makes us say that? I think the truck does ride like the big old cadillacs and lincolns of my youth, not any new ones. Soft, plush, smooth, heavy solid feel. What do you think?

And, yes, IT RULES!!!!

Do the chicks need special running boards to access the Av?

Last week I took my father-in-law for a ride in the Av. His comment was "this certainly rides like a truck". I think he has lost his mind. And he drives a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. The ride is almost as smooth and stable as my minivan. Not bad for a 5700 bohemoth 4WD monster with 17" tires. I think jealousy has something to do with his comment.....
 
Congrats #1!!! I have been wanting to take it out 4x4 for the last 2 weeks but haven't found the time. I am going to San Diego next week so maybe I'll head out to the desert and try to get some sand.

As far as the chick pick-up feature, couldn't talk the wife into letting me select that option... :8:

Oh Well... ?will just have to satisfied with all the looks ?>:DI >:D get (or maybe they are looking at my Av. :0:

It must be jealousy. Either that or your father-in-law has never actually been in a truck!
 
Speaking of picking up chicks, did ahyone read the Parade magazine last Sunday?

Somebody wrote in and asked why Tiger Woods always seems to date tall beautiful blondes.

The answer - because he can!

I've had the chance to ride and drive many different cars and trucks and my AV does not ride like a truck or most cars i've been in. I was so blown away when I first drove it, it was unreal. I haven't had the chance to go off road yet but it's very tempting.

goo's chicks were beautiful but mother hen would smack me up-side the head if I picked up any chicks ;D

I thought this was standard equipment on all AV's, mine is a magnet for the more mature set.
