After deleting the dreaded speed-limiter, I have lost ALL the wheel weights on all 4 wheels.....I have replaced the fronts with the tape-on variety and they have stayed on for a 4 days.....this is with ZERO off-road....but frequent rapid Hwy driving.

They probably were not installed properly...I had this happen with my brand new TAHOE a few years ago...dayum things made a hell of a racket when they hit the inside of fenderwell......

What's your definition of 'rapid' highway driving . . . is this problem associated with the override of the speed limiter? Do you really spend much time above 100 MPH?!

My Av is mainly used for road trips - I tend to set the cruise at 82 (75 MPH speed limit) and can go for hours across eastern Colorado and Nebraska. No problem with wheel weights.

Let us know what solution you find.

Rapid is ....rapid. My suspicion is that the intense heat build-up from the tires at speed in addition to the even greater heat from long, hard slow downs, causes the wheels & tires to expand at difefrent rates, and forces the clipped-on weights off, especially after a cycle of cold nights and hot driving....But I have NO brake squeal....:)

So... that's why they put the speed limiter on the AV.

Its' to keep the wheel weights in place. Now I understand.
