I am trying to decide on the exhust set up for my Av.

I was just about to buy the Magnaflow #14589 with a tip #35110, when I spoke with a local dealer.

He wants to sell me the Walker muffler--Thrush (I think that is what he called it)....they are cheap (the muffler was only 35 bucks, compared to the $121.00 for Magnaflow) ???

I don't want to be cheap when it comes to my Av, but if the walker sounds good, is there any difference?

Walker's offer a lifetime garantee, just like Magnaflow.

Man, I was all set to buy it...I'm planning on going by the shop tomorrow to show the guy pictures of Bowtie's setup.

Help!

Guess I should have posted this during "Rush Hour"....

Anyone have anything positive/negative about Thrush turbo mufflers?

I put a set a of Thrush Hush on my old '67 Caprice years ago. I don't know how they are today, but they didn't last worth a hoot. They did sound cool. I was replacing them every 6-8 months. One side would rust out then a month later the other would be gone. I didn't mind because they were so cheap. 20 years ago I think I paid $15.00 each. Always laying on my back, cutting pipes sucked especially when the replace cycle ended up in the middle of the cold winter.

I'd go with the Magnaflow. You'll get what you pay for.

Thanks Truckman.

I figured someone had an experience with this brand.

I don't feel right putting cheap mufflers on a 36K truck!

They (Thrush) must have changed something 'cause now they offer lifetime warrenty with their muffs.

Still, I am going to go with Magna's based on many informed opinions from this site.
