Tire Cupping - front - inside edge only

Most 4x4's I've owned have cupped front inside.  I rotate on the av every 5K, but still am having some serious cupping.  Yes, watch pressure is correct.  Balance seems good. 

What should I look for ... tie rod issues?  Is this "the norm"?  Does tire size and style (highway tire - rounded shoulders  vs all terrain - square shoulders) make a difference?

Mileage?  What wheels/tires?  Any suspension changes?
 
She's totally stock, 17 factory wheels, OEM Goodyears now with about 35K miles - I do rotate every 5k or so.  I'll have the alignment looked at.  Was wondering if there was anything else "obvious" I should look for.  Thanks.
 
Alignment done at proper shop.

Cupping is never normal and should not be labele to 4x4 as normal as it is not... for any vehicle..

The only time I have ever had cupping issues on any 4x4 was with the AV and the OEM Goodyears. I had an alignmnet done and put the rears on the front and they cupped as well so I don't know 100% if it was the alingment or the tires. Personally I did not like the tires and I have since changed to Nitto Terra Graplers....after 18k miles on them..no cupping.
 
Ya it is sort of normal don't let them lie to ya.Tech for 10 years master certified in sales and service...Align dealer only.Because they are the only alignment guys that will care about how close they can get it without the IT HAS BEEN WRECKED EXCUSE.By the way i tested that theory at some local shops around dallas in the mid 90's.I sell alot of brand new GM FORD ECT.and the truck line all seems to do it from the get go.All i can tell you is harder tires.Or slow downmaybe that is the key.But from selling to service i see it all the time.There is a drift put on the trucks to keep them from going into oncomming traffic.Maybe the tire wear is the price you have to pay for that alignment feature.
