I took my baby to the detailer today for her yearly cleaning. I like to do this so it is easier for me to keep her clean for the rest of the year. I will be posting pics tonight when I get her back.

Just wondering...... what did you have done and how much was it?

I'm starting a detailing business this summer and wanted to be sure I'm in the ball park price wise.

Also, what things would you like/ not like with a detail? Again, just trying to get ideas.

Thanks

Ditto  :B:

I am having the Av:

1) Wash and wax
2) Treat Cladding, ( Not Gatorback)
3) Shampoo carpets and seats
4) Detail engine compartment
5) Detail rims
6) Buff out rims and body
7) Detail frame and suspension
 detail interior and windows

I may have missed some things since I have not got the Av back with a receipt.

I am paying $150.00

The only thing I would like is to have the gatorback included. Not even my dealer is doing gatorback.

For me it's $149 for the Av, $99 for standard size car.  This is inside and out full wash, polish and wax outside.  Inside, the rugs are cleaned, seats cleaned and conditioned.  Pretty much everything is cleaned.  The only thing they don't clean out is the bed.

Actually, I'm in the range. I first thought of my "the works" which is a bit higher but includes clay bar, chrome polish, wheel wells cleaned and dressed. Basically a full bumper to bumper (including door jambs)

I'll be doing my AV first. With any luck it'll be this Saturday. Then I have the wife's SUV to do, then my Trans Am..... I need my vehicles to represent what I offer.

Thanks for the input guys. Looking forward to the pics.

Good luck with your detailing venture BAT. I've always wondered about some of the mobile detailers I see driving around here, advertising "great service" in a filthy vehicle.

Your probably right.  Up here the winter salt and sand does a pretty hefty job on vehicles (inside and out :( )

Well I got the Av detailed and my nice sunny day with zero chance of rain, RAINED. It started about 1 hour after I picked up the Av. They did a very good job. They painted the fender wells. They took the rims and tires off the AV, cleaned the rims inside and out. They detailed the engine so it looks better then new. They did a great job on the paint, almost all of the scratches are gone. (My truck was vandalized last year and had scratches all up and down the sides and tail gate). The cladding looks good but I am going to have to redo the way I like it. So that is tomorrows job, if it doesn't rain.

I will post pics in the morning.

We'll take a picture of the water beading off the Ava.

Here are a bunch of pics of the Av after the detail.

Looks great. I noticed the door jambs and the wheel wells look great!

You still have snow on the ground there?

What's that in the valley on the roof of the house?
