Ok, I was looking for suggestions here... I'm spending $1,000 of my tax refund for my truck.. I've already done the full time Amber DRL's, mag light mod, bowtie flag, and US flag hitch cover.... I'm wanting to tint the front windows, put a US Flag glasscape on the back window, sail windows, vent shades for the windows... what else can I spend my $1,000 on, any ideas? ??? ;D (y) :B:
 
Here is few ideas
Carriage Billet Grill $134
SilverStar Head Lites-$ 20 ea appox
Splash Guards(depends on which ones you want)
Aux. 55 watt reverse lites with relay - appox $40
 
Custom Pinstriping. A few folks have done it for around $250, give or take, depending on how much you actually have done.
 
Reflective Tape Mod is pretty cool, and cheap. Just an idea.
 
$1000 twards a big mod like a Tire/wheel combo, you may need a fer more $$$$ to do it

Preadetor programer
cat back exhust system
upd air filter system
all gone yet??? >:D
 
Staying under 1K and only listing things that I have done/seen myself:
- Stripeman decals - Z-71 fade away on tailgate and the three avalanche signs
- billet grille
- billet bow tie
- color match grille cross bar
- bug deflector
- diamond plate for rear bumper

That should but a good beating on your 1K
 
Sparky I love the tire combo on the 20"s what size rubber are you running? I know it is outside the 1K mark on this posting but I plan to add 20"s or 22"s in the future. Figuring on 20"s to keep the ride and from my wife curbing :cry: the rims.
 
Running 295/45/20 Yokohamas. BUT if I were to do over I would buy 295/50/20 Falkens. They are a closer match to overall height. You can get performance or all season
 
While I appreciate my cheaper, appearance-based mods, I'd have to say my 2 favorite overall mods are
? HPPIII (or Predator) - about $300
? Better flowing exhaust (Magnaflow for example) - about $150

Denali cluster! ?My others are in my sig. You can do the whole bunch for less than $1k! Obviously, I'm not as serious about modding as many!

Thanks Sparky. I will keep the Falkens in mind. I had a set on 17"s and was happy with them. But that was on my 98 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. It got totaled :8: about a month ago. Funny I missed the Dodge till I got my AV. It was lowered 4-6" on 17"s W/ functional Ram Air hood, welded in roll pan, HPPIII, Etc. Etc. Etc.......... Now what to do with a big new toy? >:D
 
definitely got to go with chrome nerf bars, billet grille, and a gibson xtreme dual exhaust system....heres a pic of my av

If your doing Mods, you can't go wrong with a least a K&N drop in air filter ($50.00 approx) and a new low restriction exhaust. (Flowmaster, Gibson, etc...)

When you lay your money down, you might a well get a little performance advantage in return, not to mention a slight increase in MPG.

If you have any left, then go for the billet grille (my next mod)

Not trying to tell you how to spend your money, just my $.02.

Everything above the Billet Grille is either already done or on order, I've got a bid in on ebay for the billet grille
 
Check eBay before doing any mods, I got a billet grille there for half the price of a brand new one, and it looks just like a new one.

Also, with the sail panels, I know there's 2 members that make them 2 different ways. One set of panels are flush with the sails and the other is recessed into the sail (my personal preference, and only $30).

Other than that...there's TOO many mods to choose from!

Weathertech Weatherflectors are around $80, billet grille, pinstriping (if you want that).....paint pen on the "Avalanche" logos on the cladding...

There's a WORLD of possibilities!
